This one-day training session SIArb will comprise a mock arbitration video and workshop interspersed with presentations by the trainers on the essential points covered in the mock workshop and video.  

SIArb trainers will guide participants through selected scenes from the video produced by the SIAC, which follows a fictional dispute from emergency arbitrator proceedings, to challenge of arbitrators, challenges concerning jurisdiction of the tribunal, the examination of witnesses and the award.  

Each segment will be preceded or followed by live presentations by the trainers and discussions on the subjects that are played out in the videos.  This workshop is designed to give those with some theoretical knowledge of arbitration a demonstration of how procedural and substantive controversies can arise and are dealt with in the real world of arbitration.

We propose to cap the session (if time permits) with a discussion on miscellaneous issues and questions relating to arbitration.
