About the Seminar:

Judith’s lecture will discuss why arbitrator conflicts are a perennial issue in arbitration and look at practical examples of situations falling either side of the line of acceptability. She will examine how national laws and the rules of arbitral institutions have grappled with the issue as well as exploring the IBA’s Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration and whether they have succeeded in providing a transnational standard for assessing conflicts.
