About the Seminar:

The arbitration scene in Singapore is booming now. But this is the result of evolution over the last 25 years. The landscape today has been totally transformed from that of the early days, where foreign counsel were once shut out from acting in Singapore-seated arbitrations (ala Turner (East Asia) Pte Ltd v Builders Federal (HK) Ltd and anor [1988] SGHC 28), to one that expects to engage with increasingly diverse groups of users.

Join Mr Alvin Yeo SC as he reflects on the development of the arbitration scene in the post-Turner era to the present, discusses the evolving norms in arbitration practice, and offers his views on the challenges to be overcome by Singapore Arbitration in the future.
