The Members’ Nite (28 August 2019)
On 28 August 2019, SIArb hosted its annual Members’ Nite at Rookery @ Capital Tower. The bar provided a central location within the CBD for members and friends to gather for lively night of catching up with old friends and making new ones.
SIArb’s Vice President, Tay Yu-Jin, took the opportunity to thank existing members for their continued support of the Institute and to give a snapshot of the events and publications currently in the pipeline.
The Discretion to Enforce (27 August 2019)
Members attended a scintillating seminar on “The Discretion to Enforce” on 27 August 2019, which was jointly presented by Ms Amanda Lees and Ms Christine Artero.
In this seminar, Ms Artero first brought the audience through a comparison of the approaches taken in various jurisdictions across the globe. This was followed by a presentation by Ms Lees on the recent case law in Singapore and Hong Kong, and explored…

Call for Contribution of Articles
The SIArb Newsletter is a publication of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators aimed to be an educational resource for members and associated organisations and institutions of higher learning. Readers of the newsletter are welcome to submit to the Secretariat at secretariat@siarb.org.sg well-researched manuscripts of merit relating to the subject matter of arbitration and dispute resolution. Submissions should be unpublished works between 1,500 to 2,500 words and are subject to the review of the editorial team.
