Beyond Arbitration: Global Perspectives – “The United Nations at 75: Quo Vadis?” (16 November 2020)
SIArb launched its Beyond Arbitration: Global Perspectives lecture series in November 2020 with the purpose of giving its diverse membership which spans all geographical regions and sectors the pleasure of listening to eminent speakers on the larger issues facing our world today. We were very fortunate to have none other than Singapore’s beloved statesman and diplomat, Professor Tommy Koh, deliver the inaugural lecture.
Online International Entry Course (IEC) (1-21 September 2020)
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Singapore Government’s “circuit-breaker” measures, the 2020 edition of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators’ annual and signature International Entry Course (IEC) was conducted only in September this year and, for the first time in the Institute’s history, it was conducted completely online. Lectures were delivered online by way of Zoom webinar recordings which could be accessed remotely and on demand during the course duration. Tutorials were led by tutors in live interactive classes conducted virtually on the Zoom meeting platform, and the written assessment was conducted virtually on Zoom…

Call for Contribution of Articles
The SIArb Newsletter is a publication of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators aimed to be an educational resource for members and associated organisations and institutions of higher learning. Readers of the newsletter are welcome to submit to the Secretariat at secretariat@siarb.org.sg well-researched manuscripts of merit relating to the subject matter of arbitration and dispute resolution. Submissions should be unpublished works between 1,500 to 2,500 words and are subject to the review of the editorial team.
