“What Influences Tribunal Decision Making: Perspectives from Counsel, Arbitrators, and Experts”

Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) was pleased to host the inaugural Fellow Roundtable Masterclass Series on 21 May 2026 at Maxwell Chambers.

Designed exclusively for Fellows, this small-group roundtable created a valuable space for candid and thoughtful discussion on how tribunals approach decision-making in practice. Participants exchanged perspectives on framing complex disputes with clarity, the role of expert evidence in supporting tribunal reasoning, and the emerging impact of AI on arbitration practice.

What made the session particularly meaningful was its interactive format. Moving beyond a conventional panel to encourage open dialogue, reflection, and practical insight among experienced practitioners.
