About this Roundtable

Arbitration has become a key component in the dispute resolution landscape. As such, specialising in arbitration – as counsel, expert witness or arbitrator – has evolved into a viable career opportunity for many professionals.

Our inaugural careers roundtable last year was widely received by numerous SIArb members – fresh graduates, young practitioners and mid-career professionals amongst others.

The SIArb Young Practitioners Network is proud to present this roundtable discussion again this year with a distinguished and diverse panel of speakers who will share their experiences and war stories towards establishing a career in arbitration.

Roundtable Programme

This will be an interactive event as participants will get the opportunity to get up close and personal with our experienced speakers. The event will commence with opening remarks from each speaker. Participants will then be assigned into facilitated "breakout rooms" where they can raise questions or comments they have about developing a career in arbitration. There will be two rounds of breakout sessions to ensure participants get interact directly with different speakers of varying backgrounds in arbitration.

To facilitate the interactive nature of the event, there will be a limit on registrations accepted as well as the participants in each break-out room. Accordingly, the SIArb Secretariat will only provide you with the Zoom meeting details upon confirmation of your successful registration.

About the SIArb Young Practitioners Network (YPN)

The SIArb Young Practitioners Network takes the lead on the Institute’s engagement with all young arbitration practitioners with less than 10 years’ experience in arbitration or below the age of 40.
